BASIC DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
Calculate HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutants) vent emissions for batch and continuous processes using computerized EPA equations in a process modeling environment.  Available MACT (Maximum Achievable Control Technologies) models include filling, purging, heating, vacuum,  depressurization, gas evolution, solids drying, and storage tank.  Interactive chemical databases enable one to model multi-phase liquid mixtures.  Emission Master supports several vapor pressure models including Antoine, Clapeyron, Riedel equations.  Equation coefficients may be calculated from experimental or referenced vapor pressure data for many of the models.

Our calculation platforms help the user to rapidly model chemical processes using the latest US EPA equations and techniques as found in EIIP Guidance Document (Chapter 16), August 2007.  We are fully committed to the high quality of our software and the long term success of our customers.

Reaction Step

1 Charge water to an empty reactor vessel.
2 Charge solids to the reactor which already contains water.
3 Charge methanol to the reactor containing a slurry and solids.
4 Dissolve the solids into the solution of methanol and water. 
5 Heat the batch to a reaction temperature
6 Carry out a reaction for Process Intermediate A -> Process Intermediate B.
 
Crystallization Step
7 Cool the batch to crystallize the product Process Intermediate B. 
 
Centrifuge Step
8 Transfer the batch from the reactor to the centrifuge feed tank.
9 Centrifuge the batch with the mother liquors going to a receiver vessel.
10 First centrifuge spin cycle.
11 Transfer centrifuge mother liquors to waste tank.
12 Wash centrifuge product cake with methanol.
13 Second centrifuge spin cycle.
14 Unload the wet cake from the centrifuge into drums.
