Database Overview

Several databases are available within Emission Master to assist in the modeling process.  Three primary databases are the Chemical Database, Equipment Database, and the Control Devices Database.  Other databases are provided for Noncondensable Compounds, Gas Evolution Compounds, Mixtures, and the Emission Factor Database.  All database information is stored in a single relational database (Emaster.mdb) which may be located anywhere within access to the users computer.  For example, the file Emaster.mdb may be located on a LAN file server while the main Emission Master program resides on the users computer.

Database security may be enabled in which case database records can be prevented from being changed by other users.  Visit the Database Security page to learn more about this feature.
