Process Group

A Process Group provides an organizational structure for storing one or more chemical process models.  It is much like a conventional directory - subdirectory structure that exists in a computer.  A Process Group can also contain one or more Process Subgroups which in turn can contain other Process Subgroups and/or chemical process models.

Batch management features

When a process group is selected on the left side of the program then the right side window will contain any batches that have been entered into the system.  The buttons on the right side of the program interface are used to add, edit, or delete batches for the selected process.

Add Batch: Selecting a process in the list will turn on the 'Add Batch' button and permit the user to add a new batch.  The Batch Editor enables the user to enter a batch identification (such as B-101) and the date that the batch was run in the factory.  For this batch management framework, the emissions for the batch are defaulted to the originally process emissions.  If the batch ran differently than the standard process model then this batch exception could be remodeled and assigned to this specific batch as post calculations.  Pilot Plant operations can vary significantly from one batch to the next for the same standard process.  Each batch that is entered for a given process may have different post calculation emissions.
Edit Batch: This button will open the Batch Editor and allow for changes to be made to the batch record.
Delete Batch: Deletes the selected batch from the system.
